Beer Garden

aka Wasted Landlords

Wasted Landlord

This was a cover/joke band Mark put together with some friends just after Green River's break up. They played under various names, including Beer Garden and Wasted Landlords.

Formed: 1981
Disbanded: 1984

Line-up
Mark Arm (Mudhoney): vocals
Ron Nine (Love Battery) : guitar, bass
Chris Pugh (Swallow) : guitar, bass
Grant Eckman (Walkabouts) : drums
Scott Vanderpool (Chemistry Set) : drums
Tad Doyle (Tad) : drums

Here's some memories from Mark:

we did two shows and played 5 or so covers. we had three drummers (scott, tad, and grant). chris and ron swapped on bass and guitar. i think we wore dresses, climbed all over everything and tad covered a blow-up doll with whip cream and "fucked" it.
the songs i recall playing were:

"99th Floor" by the Moving Sidewalk
"I Don't Want That Kind of Love" by Crazyhead
"The One I Love" by REM (ONLY BECAUSE RON INSITED, we did it to shut him up)
"Little Doll" by the Stooges

i can't remember the 5th song.
