Apparently the video shoot has been rescheduled for tomorrow. From Sub Pop:

WHO HERE LIVES IN PORTLAND AND WANTS TO BE IN A MUDHONEY VIDEO?

Here's the thing: There's going to be a video shoot for the song "It Is Us" from the new Mudhoney album, Under a Billion Suns in Portland, OR this Sunday and we need some people to show up. We're not at liberty to reveal all of the details here, but there is some sort of crowd scene and we need your help. Mudhoney needs your help!

So, if you'd like to participate in Mudhoney's new video, please come to Portland's Voodoo Doughnuts (where, "The magic is in the hole"), at 22 SW 3rd Ave., this Sunday, February 26th at 7:30 pm!

There might even be some free doughnuts.

From Whitey McConnaghy:

"I'm directing a new Mudhoney video for Sub Pop from Mudhoney's upcoming new album. We are shooting a video in Portland OR, this weekend Feb. 19th at Voo Doo Doughnuts."

Whitey had also asked to post his email because he was looking for extras. Unfortunately I wasn't able to post his request in time. Sorry everybody!

More from Sub Pop:

MUDHONEY LIVE ON KEXP MARCH 14th!

Our friends Mudhoney will be performing a handful of numbers from their upcoming album Under a Billion Suns live on Seattle's own KEXP on Tuesday, March 14th at noon (pacific).

Not only can you listen here in Seattle on the radio via the FM frequency of 90.3, but the people at KEXP have figured out how to put the radio in computers! Simply program the internet for http://www.kexp.org, follow the screen prompts there and VIOLA! Mudhoney! On the radio! On your computer!

From Sub Pop:

MUDHONEY'S UNDER A BILLION SUNS - THE SPECIAL ENHANCED LP VERSION

"How in the world are you wily Sub Pop people going to enhance a piece of vinyl??" you might ask, in that justifiably incredulous tone of yours that we find so disarming.

"Simply by enclosing a CD in the LP packaging!" we would answer, in that somewhat smug way you'd find annoying in others, yet for some reason, when it's us, comes across as more roguishly appealing.

Our purposes here are twofold:
1) We would like to provide those people who buy our records on vinyl with the same access to digital media afforded those who buy CDs or downloads.
B) We have watched with great envy as record labels we consider to be our peers have offered their patrons digital files for albums purchased on vinyl. This is a great idea. And, because we can no longer do it first, we'll settle for the sincerest form of flattery.

We have every intention of eventually offering, as downloads through our website, mp3s of full albums to vinyl buyers. But, because we don't yet know how to do that, and because the new Mudhoney record is right around the corner, we will instead be including the full CD with the LP.

In short: The vinyl version of the new Mudhoney LP, Under a Billion Suns, will include a free CD of the full album for your mp3-making pleasure.

From Mark:

"I'm pretty sure there will be a single for "It Is Us". A video is getting made for that song."

From Mark:

"Sub Pop is giving away autographed copies and some bonus cds (with cuts that didn't make the album and alternate mixes of songs that did) as a preorder incentive."

You can get your copy here.

From Mark:

"We'll be doing the two Italian dates with Jennifer Gentle."

"Dave Crider says Estrus won't be releasing any records for the first two quarters of 2006, so [the new Monkeywrench album] won't be released until July at least."

"We never made a video for Touch Me I'm Sick. That will be included in the [forthcoming double DVD set] as will a new video for a song from Under A Billion Suns (we don't know which song yet)."

"South America and Mexico were a blast. The Pearl Jam audiences down there were really great, they were very open to us."
